"Glamorous" Story Process Part 5: "Act 3"

 

The third act where the "Bad Guys Close In."

 It is where the bad guys come in with the heavy artillery 

and the hero's team starts to disintegrate. 

 

 

 

The forces that are aligned against the hero tighten their grip. 

Evil won't give up.
 

 

 

This act also includes the "All is Lost " moment and the "Dark Night of the Soul".



The "All Is Lost" moment is the "false defeat" point  - it looks as though everything is black.

That is just temporary.

But in the moment it appears to be total defeat, no hope for the hero as their life falls to shambles.








The "Dark Night of the Soul" is how the hero responds emotionally to the darkest, lowest point of the story.

It is the point before the hero reaches deep inside to pull out the plan and action that will save everyone.

But in the moment, that idea is no where in sight.
