I had an opportunity to get my book in front of an acquisition manager at a publisher the end of the summer.
After a two month wait... there was good news and bad news.
Good news:
Positive feedback on the writing and on Grace as a lead character!
"You've got a really polished, smooth writing style and Grace is an intriguing character……you definitely have a lot of talent, and I hope you pursue publication!"
They were not interested in me publishing with THEM - too many other urban fantasy novels in their queue.
So...next steps...
I have connected with Leslie and Alyssa at Writership.org who did the podcast of my first chapter of Glamorous. They will be helping me with some developmental editing.
While I wait to hit the top of their queue, I am giving my blog readers the opportunity to get a preview of the book, chapter by chapter! If it was good enough for Andy Weir for The Martian, it is good enough for Denise and Glamorous!!
I will be posting chapters here as well as on Wattpad.com.
